Last Friday, I met several other artists in Dahlonega for a day of painting and a fine lunch. Here is a small 9 x 12 study that I painted before lunch. It is now on display in a plein air show at the Cannery Art Center in Dahlonega. The show will run through July 12th. I also received word that both of my paintings submitted to the annual juried show titled "Local Color" at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Gainesville have been accepted. Those paintings are the cat in the chair and the peeled orange painting. The show will run from June 11th through August 9th. Plan to attend the opening reception on June 11th. This is always a wonderful show.
